Bulgaria is truly a hidden pearl in Europe

Everyone knows Bulgaria as one of the (if not the most) poorest country in the EU. To tell you the truth, that is true. Do you think that the poorest country hasn’t got too many nice places to visit? Well if so, you are dead wrong.

In Veliko Tarnovo, the former capital of Bulgaria is a nice town with great history and funny landscape. By funny I mean you can only go up or down, there is no way you can walk 50 meters without ascending or descending! Good training huh?

These pictures, you can see how wonderful places there are.

Nesebar, seaside near Old Town, this is the place where you can see the sea

Plovdiv, singing fountain (during autumn, summer and early fall, it plays various songs and the water beams are “dancing” to the rhythm)

Rila Monastery, surrounded by mountains and the nature, only 1 road inside, you literally live there…

Rila Mountain, view from Rila Mountain in October (also check Rila Lakes, there are super good :) )

Sofia, Alexandar Nevski Cathedral, masterpiece, do not dare to visit Sofia without going there :)

Sunny beach, just a fairly typical meal for like 2–3€.

Sunny beach, on the way to the ship party (the one with the lights on the sea) with a transporter boat

Sunny beach, sandy seaside with a crystal clear water

Sunny beach, seaside generally

Veliko Tarnovo, light and laser show in Tsaravets fortress

Veliko Tarnovo, painting on electrical boxes. This is a competition made by the city leadership to make them look better, all the boxes in the town have unique paintings made by professionals (I like them a lot).

Veliko Tarnovo, painting on the side of houses

Veliko Tarnovo, traditional house

Veliko Tarnovo, view from Tsaravets fortress

Wonderful rocks, they are truly wonderful in that peaceful place

A fortress on the middle of nothing. It place on the way to Plovdiv and you can see this over a small town. Still a good place with a great history.

Now after these picture, can you say that Bulgaria is truly a hidden pearl in Europe?
